Dataloggers - USB vs. 4-PIN

Green Energy Shop by Alexander MOOS - Solis Datenlogger-Stick WiFi Gen 3

Introduction

For Solis inverter users, data logging is essential for monitoring performance and ensuring system efficiency. Solis offers two types of dataloggers that connect differently based on the inverter model. Our legacy models, up to and including the 5G series, use a 4 PIN logger, while our latest S6 models have been upgraded to utilize USB-type loggers. In this article, we’ll help you identify which one is compatible with your inverter model for seamless operation and monitoring.

In some cases, you may need an adapter to connect your logger to the inverter. For example, if you've replaced an older 5G series inverter with a new S6 series model, you can continue using your existing logger with an appropriate adapter. Solis offers adapters for both configurations. If you need one, please contact your local Solis Service line.
