Lead-acid battery parameter settings for RHI and RAI inverters

Below are the explanation for each parameter, but most importantly, if the customer want to use the lead-acid battery, he must consult with the battery manufacturer to confirm the parameter settings are correct and suitable for that battery.  Otherwise, any damages or system not working correctly,  we don't take responsibility.

  • Battery capacity:  This is to set the battery Ah, refer to the actual battery capacity.  This parameter also affect the battery charge current. The actual battery charge current limit will be the smaller one between (Battery capacity * 0.2C) and (I_Max Charge).
  • Floating Voltage:  The voltage when the battery is charging in floating charging stage.
  • Floating current:   The max current when the battery is charging in floating charging stage.
  • Equalizing voltage:  The voltage when the battery is charging in equalizing charging stage.
  • Overdischg Voltage: This is like our overdisch SOC for lithium battery setting.   It will stop discharging the battery when voltage is lower than this.
  • Forcecharg Voltage:  This is like our forcecharge SOC for lithium battery setting.   It will charge the battery immediately when voltage is lower than this.
  • I_Max Discharge: Max discharge current
  • I_Max Chagre: Max charge current
  • Temp Compensation:  This should be obtained from the battery datasheet or battery manufactuer, it is a temperature coeffecient related to the battery charging voltage.
  • AMB.Temp Lower: This is the lower temperature limit where to stop the temperature compensation. Some battery requires this.
  • AMB.Temp Upper: This is the upper temperature limit where to stop the temperature compensation. Some battery requires this.

In most cases, the battery charging is always in Stage 1 and never enter the Stage 2.
