Schedule a call/meeting with Solis Service, at least 4 days before commissioning, providing them all the information of the system (system components, configuration, missing parts, etc.).

Notes:

1. The firmware version of all devices must be upgraded to the latest tested version.

2. The EPM-Plus HMI firmware version required for this type of configuration is 1E.

3. The PV Inverters need to be upgraded to a special version only if the site requires Export Limitation function.

EPM-Plus – Internal Data Logger Disconnection

To enable the EPM update via the S3-WiFi-ST Data Logger, it is necessary to disable the internal Logger of the device.

There are two ways to do this:

Note:

Before proceeding with this step please check with Support Team which is the model of the EPM-Plus internal Data Logger. If the internal Data Logger is already an S2-WiFi-Logger, the step below can be skipped.

1. Disabling by disconnecting the internal wiring (recommended)

You need to open the EPM enclosure and disconnect the connections, as shown in the image below:

Note: After internal Data Logger disconnection, the external S3-GPRS/WiFi-ST Logger can be twisted on the EPM.

2. Disabling from software

Step 1: Turn ON the EPM device.

Step 2: Turn ON the WiFi on your mobile phone, search for the Logger’s hotspot displayed as AP_xxxxxxxxx and connect     to it.

    Step 3:

  • Open a browser on your mobile phone (e.g. Safari, Chrome)
  • In the search bar of the browser type: 10.10.100.254 and access
  • Click on Advanced”--> Work Mode
  • Change the Working mode to Transparency
  • Press Save

Wait for about 10 seconds, then the "Restart" option will appear, click "Restart".

    Step 4:

During WiFi Restart, the signal will be disconnected from the mobile phone.

Try to refresh the WiFi list until you find again AP_xxxxxxxxx and reconnect.

Doble check in “Working Mode", to be sure that "Transparency" mode is active (VERY IMPORTANT).

Note:

In case the Export Limitation is a requirement of the site, for the EPM to be able to control and limit the string inverters as well, it is necessary to upgrade the HMI to a specific firmware released for that model.

This operation can be performed by the Service Team remotely, once the inverters have been connected to the WiFi using the second Data Logger and before connecting it to EPM

If it is not necessary to control the export, the special firmware upgrade for PV inverters is not required.
