PV inverters are powered from the DC (solar). This means you need at least 120% of startup voltage (written on left side of inverter) to start it up. Additionally polarity is important.
Before an RMA can be issued for a replacement of an inverter that is not starting up on DC, you need to perform the test below (clearly showing: gender of mc4; colour probes going into multimeter; and LCD display):
